Anyone ever hear anything on the Conn Nat'l Guard 40.9mhz freq?

I have both Camp Niantic and the Stone Ranch training facility in town and rarely hear anything on this frequency. The helos some times, but few and far between for usage.

Have they moved to different frequencies? This is still the one listed in the database as well.

If I'm not mistaken most of the guard units in every state have this type of frequency but are now on more modern frequencies. Like here in Maine they have one but hardly use it As they have gone to Airband AM freq. and FM radios in the 1xx.xxx ranges. Nothing is listed and a friend who is a comm. sgt in the army guard hasn't told me where they would be listed online.

Blackjack Ops was heard (not in my normal monitoring , unless traveling to Western Mass) back in May 2014

Even the MA ANG FM is used, but it requires 24/7 monitoring to catch them
Not much chit-chat, unless airborne and then they use VHF/UHF AM

41.2000 was active last July

As for
Bangor - not much reported as of late, except for the Fire Dept
and the 13x.xxx and 14x.xxxx Arrmy NG VHF Network, only seems to get used for small radio checks

Thanks.

I only hear anything on this frequency right when the convoys roll through town, which is actually fairly often, but its a quick thing like "At Gate" or "Left The Gate." I hear the helos, which often just says they are airborne and switching channel of at times making contact with the convoys, which is also meaningless conversation like "Overhead"

The National Guard was called out to help during the blizzards this winter, digging out and providing some support for local FD/EMS that were buried in, and I heard zilch ... which is why I asked.

Based on monitoring the MA NG - look in the 13x.xxxx and 14x.xxxx FMN Band.
Lots of Simplex allocations, MA still maintains it's 4x.xxx Rptrs linked into the VHF High

From the winter perspective, altho they had VHF Radios with them, 99% of their assignments were driven by the Local EOC and assignments were handled via Cellphone

Thanks.

I am still hearing traffic on 40.900 and 41.900 for helos in the northeast part of CT. Also, some on 36.800 for RI.

Thanks, maybe its just around Camp Niantic and Stone Ranch they have migrated to other frequencies.

Helos are on 41.9, but you hear them at times on 40.9, but not much.
