Has anyone in CT with an SDS 100 updated to the new firmware? If so what are your thoughts? After looking through the Uniden forum not sure weather I should upgrade or wait.

I updated the firmware & I actually noticed a slight improvement on analog conventional channels sounding a bit stronger but more or less everything else runs the same

Yes, I think it is worth it.
Agree -
Also, FWIW, just got my SDS100 back from Uniden Repair (broken USB mini port and CSJ issue) - Delivered on 1/12, sent back on the 17th. Not only does it work great, cant believe the quick turnaround!

I personally will not update yet, waiting to see results from other people using the update.

I am with you on this update. I think I will wait another few weeks if not a month
Me too. I feel no rush to jump in.

As with computers, phones, etc I am wary of updates that could cause issues. It's happened before with other devices.

I usually wait for the second release, just after the first round of bugs are worked out.

I've noticed my SDS200 has a hard time locking on to P25P2 transmissions that are mid transmission. It's about 50-50 if it will actually lock on and play audio.

This is off 1 tower with an indoor antenna. RX is usually full scale.

Thanks guys. I see that Uniden had released several updates after my original post. Maybe they got all the bugs out. Still skeptical on updating though. is there a way to pull the current firm ware version out of the scanner before upgrading just in case I need to change it back?

Current firmware should be stored on your computer. My computer has it archived at C:\ProgramData\Uniden\BCDx36HP_Sentinel\Updater. Before you do anything else copy the firmware file and add it to a different folder so you still have it when Sentinel overwrites the stored firmware file in the Updater folder.

I have everything up to C:\ProgramData\Uniden\BCDx36HP_Sentinel\. Nothing that says updater. I even searched for it.

OK, what firmware version do you need to archive?
