wanting to set up dedicatied antenna's for my truck, looking to install gain antenna's for 800 mhz VHF and UHF and need to find a diplexer to do this, can anyone give me some suggestions where to purchase one?
Can't seem to find one on the web?

Don't want an all band antenna.

This says "Triplexers may be used for combining two/three transceivers to one coax feed line".

I am not looking to combine receivers to one antenna.

I am looking to combine Antenna's to one receiver via a switch

To make this more simple... I want to use an 800 mhz antenna when listening to the 800 mhz band.

when I am listening to the UHF band I want to switch over to using the UHF antenna and so on.

diplexers/triplexers, etc. are bi-directional. It is true they may be used to combine multiple mono-band transceivers to one antenna.

Because of their bi-directionality, the opposite configuration is also possible...connecting three singleband ANTENNAS to one Receiver (or scanner or transceiver).

Diplexer/Triplexers are not switches, just simple filters arranged in a way to make the above possible, without the use of switches.

If you want to manually switch among your antennas, you may do so, but you do not need a diplexer. You simply need a coaxial switch (or antenna switch as they are often called). Most ham stores have several varieties, like Ham Radio Outlet or AES, among many others.

Hope this helps,

I second the triplexer.

I have the Diamond triplexer and I am quite happy with it.

I also use a 800 MHz pre-amp on the high frequency input to the triplexer with a 800 MHz specific antenna.

This may limit some of your monitoring.

You may still want an "all band" anteanna for other purposes as well and have a coax switch as well.

I am not a real discone fan for wideband monitoring, they really have lackluster performance in any specific band.

I have a Monitenna which seems to work fairly well for wideband coverage.
