An N>SMA adaptor would be unusual. SMA is for small diameter coax while N is usually for large diameter coax. SMA is a screw-in connector. Most of the comments I have read on these boards concern folks who are considering a BNC alternative.

Yes there are adapters available to go from type N to SMA. However I should point out that most of the WIFI connections are reverse pin connections and not standard connections.
Be a little careful of what sex the connector is that your playing with when working with the WIFI antenna system.
The scanner on the other hand should be a normal connector, so the standard adapters should work just fine.
Sure you can find a piece of cable with a N on one end and SMA on the other, or you can make one if you are handy. I undestood the OP to be looking for a Connector, not a short cable with connectors on each end.
