I want to add an outdoor antenna which is a BNC what kind of connector do I need from home patrol to the BNC? Thnks

The HomePatrol should have come with a BNC to SMA adapter (https://www.scannermaster.com/Uniden_SMA_to_BNC_Adapter_p/10-531841.htm) but if you have lost it the one "dispatch235" mentioned would work. There are a couple others as well, such as the generic one: https://www.scannermaster.com/SMA_Male_to_BNC_Female_Adapter_p/01-531016.htm

Thank you and I did get it. can I do a live stream with this radio? It picks up way better then my Pro197 radio.

I have seen several posts in the past for the Homepatrol's and streaming and they are capable of it... I did do a quick search on it and looks like you may want to purchase the "Extreme Upgrade" to make it simpler although I'm not sure it's necessary, just makes things a bit tidier. I still have my HP1 and the extreme upgrade has been useful for me.
Below is borrowed from another post in the forums:


"USB Audio and Data Out — Want to set up your HomePatrol-1 to stream live audio to the web...without creating a rat's nest of wires? The Extreme Upgrade lets you do just that, sending both audio and the channel data out through the USB port to your computer. (Third-party software required for streaming applications.) "

It does state the HP1 in that paragraph, but I believe the HP2 would be the same. It has been stated elsewhere that the Extreme Upgrade applies equally to both models.
