Who makes the Connex radios?

Probably a company called Connex? It isn't a real Amateur radio. That is one of the brands of CB that they market as a 10 Meter radio. Most hams wouldn't use a radio of that type for anything. If the radio doesn't have a true VFO knob or a it has a "channel" display it's not really worth putting on the shack desk.

Now I know someone is going to comment about that last part. I know that real commercial gear fits parts of the above. But in most cases the above is true.

This also isn't a sarcastic comment about CB either. To each their own.

I looked on the internet and i can not find anything on Connex comp. All i can find is shops that sells them.

Ding ding ding! They do have Ranger (RCI) boards, similar to (but not the same as) Galaxy, General, and Texas Ranger. If you're going for an export, get a Galaxy or Texas Ranger. I've yet to hear a Connex or a General that sounded remotely decent (not to mention their lack of frequency counters).

For the money some of those radios cost you could get yourself a nice used HF rig. Just a thought.

You would have to install your own roger beep, and echo then.
