BCD436HP/BCD536HP: Consequence of not assigning QKs?

My 436 and 536 behave differently from each other when trunktracking.

The 536 works as I expect that it should. ID Scan covers systems that are programmed into the scanner. ID Search shows those systems and any others detected.

My 436 using the same data does not always decode trunked traffic when ID Scan is set. For digital trunked systems, I only hear traffic when using ID Search. Analog trunking works fine.

I have not assigned Quick Keys to anything below the level of Favorite List. By default, all possible QKs are "enabled" anyway.

The usual checks for service type and other settings are okay and apparently irrelevant to the situation, as I am dealing with two identically programmed scanners.

The only adverse consequence of not using Quick Keys is that you'll have to do a few more button presses to turn on/off Favorites Lists, Systems and Departments.
