I'm new to SDR and I already read the wiki but can't find the info I am looking for below:

1. Does a USB SDR tuner typically have less, more or the same sensitivity as a typical current model trunking scanner?
2. Can you scan as fast with an SDR setup as a conventional scanner?

I'm just trying to decide if I'd be better off packing my portable scanner with me when I travel or if I'd get better results if I set up my laptop for SDR. BTW this would be just for scanning while in a hotel room during the off hours.
