Contra Costa County Sheriff on 348.44000?

I was wondering if anybody else can get the CC Sheriff on 348.44000. The transmissions are the same one I get on 155.19000. I'm using a RS PRO-95 with a Diamond RH77CA which I just recently bought. What's interesting is that I only can receive transmissions with this antenna. The other antennas I have, the stock antenna, an 800 Mhz and the extended rubber ducky, I get no reception. I'm of course using Don Starr's Win95 to get the frequency that is outside of the PRO-95's normal range.

Have you tried using another radio? Sounds like interference to me.

Any possibility it's repeaters? I remember finding some weird frequencies with El Dorado County, and was later informed that they are repeaters. I think they were UHF.

I can't try another radio since I have only one. I've just started scanning and this hobby in December so I don't have any more radios like most of the people on this forum do. But I'll slowly build up my collection eventually.

348 mhz is right in the middle of the military aircraft band. I can assure you it is not a legit signal. Most likely a local intermod mix.

I'll have to agree that this is an image or intermod mix of some kind.

When did CCSO whent TRUNKED i they where planning on it awhile back , but back out of it cause of the money. Try user 'ECPD279' he lives in the bay area maybe he can help.
