Control Channel Data on 853.4875

[RagnarD]

Hi Folks,

For the last couple of days I have been copying control channel sounds from 858.4375.

In the R/R database this freq is listed as talkaround for Va. Beach School Buses and the City of Norfolk talkaround.

My Pro-96's do not show a System I.D. for the data so I am wondering if it may be MOSCAD or MDT information?

Anyone have any more info they can share?

Thanks in advance!

858.4375 is used in some trunked systems near you.

If you meant 853.4875, that is an itinerant 800 MHz frequency used commonly as a simplex talk-around channel.

You are right I did. Thanks.

That still does not explain the Control Channel type of noises there?

Thanks for correcting my typo nonetheless!

It is possible that someone is using APCO-25 digital audio on that channel but your Pro-96 should automatically detect and decode the digital audio.

can you put a sound clip of the audio in question? Maybe we can assist with determining what it is
