Hey all,

There are some new P25 systems in the area and I am trying to map them all using my 996. I did a custom search for the 140-150 range but the scanner stops on none of the control channels. My handheld scanner I heard the CC sounds but the 996 never stops. Also there is a new P25 system I just programmed in P25 Standard Trunk and if I hold on that system on the CC there is no sound. If I goto another system and hold on the CC I hear the CC sounds on the scanner.

Do I have something turned on/off I should have?

Not sure why you need to know the state/area.

I have 6 control channels that should show up in the 140-150 range and the scanner didn't stop on any of them during a custom search of 140-150.

What trunk systems are in 140-150? Much of that is is the Ham band in the US. Are there any trunked systems there?

Bell FleetNet - Ontario Provincial Government Zone 2 Trunking System, Southeast Zone, Ontario - Scanner Frequencies

This entire system all the control channels and voice channels are in the 140-144 range. I have 4-5 towers in range and the 996 didn't stop on any of them, I am listening to the traffic on them right now as they are programmed in but during a custom scan it didn't stop on any of them.

There is a setting in search for C-Ch - I've seen it in Freescan. No idea on how it works.

Are you scanning or searching? You say custom scan - but I'm guessing you mean custom search.

Why not just load that system? Or do you think there are other CC's?

I'd just run a regular search or search and store - make sure you lockout the known ones.

If your doing a custom search, under search/cc options, there is a setting to turn on/off
"data skip". Check that ? Mine will not stop on a control channel if turned on...
