Control Channel w/BC780

Just a question... with the MSP 800 trunk system, would it maake sense to enter all the control channels in a single bank on the BC780 scanner, then enter each of the talk groups to the associated bank and set the scanner to control channel only? or am I better off keeping the smart zones split-up in different banks?

I'm in an area that I receive zone 5 and zone 7.....
