Control Channels

I know I could just simply try it and find out, but is it a good thing to put more than one tower and their primary control channels in a same bank? I am in decent range of 3 towers and didn't know if putting in multiple Primary CC would cause reception issues. Thanks.

If you do put a spacer channel in between those channels to "fool" your scanner. Got that idea from another user and since I get more coms.

That's incorrect - the "trick" is intended for the Pro96 not Uniden models...

So far...

I have concluded that of the 3 towers I am closest to (Howell, Northville, Holly) I am closER to the Northville and the Holly towers. I have entered in Livingston County EMS agencies, FD's, and HVA talk groups. I am hearing the same Livingston FD, EMS and HVA units on the Northville tower AND Holly tower channels. Not hearinig much on the Howell tower. So in conclusion, it is ok to put the multiple control channels and their alternates in the same bank. There is not much "fighting" between control channels. I hear LCA on Northvilles control channel AND I have heard them on Holly's control channel. Does anyone else have this same kind of set up?

I have three tower site CC's in one bank and have never had a problem monitoring any Livingston County comms and in fact, the comms seem to follow the towers as I drive to work. I have never placed a conventional channel between CC freq's. I don't see the need as I receive everything I need without that particular set up. Not saying its wrong, but no reason for me to do so.

Cool thanks for the input. My next question is I can Hear HVA dispatch their monroe county units and their washtenaw units off the northville tower. However I can only hear the monroe units (700's) transmissions back to dispatch. Why can't I hear the washtenaw (100's) units??
