Since there is 3 to 4 CC's on a site how do you know which one they use the most of, do you have to put all them in on that site that are CC's?

Depends on how they setup for each site. Sometimes a CC can change 1 time a day or a few times in a day or change a few times a week. I would all all CC and Alt and voice

Before the RRDB was upgraded to this new look, the alternate CCs were listed in blue, and the primary was listed in red. Harris systems have rotating CCs, so they have always been all red. It's best practice to put all frequencies listed in a red color into your receiver, which will ultimately choose the active CC.

You are confusing Harris with Motorola. The Colorado DTR system uses Moto system controllers which only "rotate" CC's when the primary one is down. So the CC will rarely (very, very rarely) change on the Colorado DTR sites. Harris systems regularly rotate CC's, but obviously that doesn't apply to the OP's question. I still usually program all the CC's in my scanner just in case the primary one does go down. But from all my monitoring of numerous DTR sites the CC's hardly ever change.

I am a lineman for the county.

As you can see, there are a number of ways to look at this.
Some systems will only rotate the control channel if there is a repeater failure or it senses interference.
Systems can also rotate through the list of available control channels to share the wear and tear across all of them.

I used to have a Motorola Type 2 system. It had 5 channels. It rotated through 4 of them, changing every 24 hours at 1am every night. The lowest frequency out of the 5 was used as the channel that sent CW ID, so it wasn't in the control channel rotation. When I replaced it, I set up the replacement system the same way.

Since there are a number of reasons the control channel might rotate, it is usually a good idea to program them all in and let the scanner sort it out for you.
Also, don't assume that the database is 100% correct. Some info is based off the FCC license, but some info is from listeners figuring out the details, so there's always a chance for errors.

The GRE type scanners have an issue where they will lock onto a frequency as a control channel when only interference or an open carrier is present which of course stops the system from being decoded. This is just something to be aware on GRE scanners as individual control channels cannot be disabled only unprogrammed. Uniden scanners on the other hand sense no data is being transmitted after a number of scans in this scenario and the scanner moves on to the next control channel programmed into the scanner which is smart.

For Colorado DTR, radio reference did a disservice. As a Moto System, CO DTR CC's change rarely, as mentioned. Should be RED for primary CC and BLUE for alt CC's. Why did RR change this?
