Is there any control software other than scancat and win95 for this type scanner. Also does anyone know the equivalent to the uniden for this type of radio. I was thinking there may be some bearcat software that I could use. Thanks in advance, Andy

There is no "control software" for the PRO-95. It is not computer controllable only computer programmable.

And there is no Uniden radio like it as it is a GRE radio. Hence, no "bearcat" software that will work with it.

I think that there is no control software, But I know that there is programable software and for the pro-95 WIN95 is the best. Cause it's FREE!!!!!!

I downloaded WIN95. (Pro95 Scanner). Hooked up the cable and hit download from scanner. All banks were erased from scanner and did not make it to the computer. I re-programmed using the computer and was able to send to the scanner. Can I download channels from the scanner to the computer. Not sure what I did wrong. Thanks

As long as you have a two-way cable you can.

Perhaps you mistakenly clicked the upload instead of the download menu choice. :?

Lou,

Once again thanks for your response. I have the suggested cable from Radio Shack. Will try again. Pretty sure I clicked the upload but who knows. I did discover that I forgot to set airline to AM.

Umm, Upload moves data from the Computer to the Scanner. If you were trying to get the initial way you had the radio, Download would the correct choice.

Make sure you have the 20-289 cable and not the 20-048, the one that comes with the software. A lot of Radio shack idiots, I mean employees, will tell you that you need a 20-048.
