Controlled Burning in USFS- Coopers Creek

LOTS of controlled burns going on this weekend, and they are getting ready to do one right next to my house. USFS, DNR, and other forestry frequencies are going CRAZY! This burning is going on right behind my house in the Coopers Creek Wildlife Management Area.

So far:
168.775 136.5hz- USFS Gainsville Dispatch Repeater-"BURN CONTROL", just advised may need helicopter.
151.37- Forestry D2- Towns County Repeater INPUT, anyone have output?
151.4- Forestry Admin, repeater?
159.36- Forestry

And a couple other minor-use frequencies. Any other frequencies are welcomed.

I turned off the stream after the helicopter left, and after they said they were going home for the day, reported 1,100 acres burned.

Yes, and no.

They were both working on the burn, but DOF seemed to do most of it. USFS were just making sure everything was O.K., and coordinating where the fire was spreading.

They can talk to each other Mike. A lot of coordination was going on with the fires up in N GA. GA Forestry was sending their tanker plane to help in Tenn with the USFS. I was monitoring on four different scanners. Along with a drill they had at the lake this morning. The Hall Event channel was simulcast on Forsyth's system. Along with DNR.
