The RR Data base is great but is there a data base of all the active CONVENTIONAL freqs still active in the metro area with tones and all?

Thank you.

I believe the answer is pretty much NO. Maybe some fire dispatch, CLEER (460.425), FERN (154.280), medical helos, 130.150 & 123.075 etc.

Speaking of conventional freqs, does anyone know of any talk-around or conventional 800mhz freqs built into the DTRS network?

I assume that they have the ICALL and ITAC freqs in the radios, but I wondered if the various agencies didn't have some talk-arounds of their own for local use.

Yesterday I heard several of the western radio techs heading down to the Telluride area. One of the units told another one that he would soon be out of "DTR" coverage area and that they should switch their radios over to "Zone 3" "Teleco channel" to keep in touch in the local area.

CSP units statewide have "CSP SPX" as a simplex, which I believe to be 868.81250

Other agencies in the metro area do have simplex channels as well, most for Fireground use, and some tactical. Most of these are licensed to the agencies locally, not statewide.

The only licenses that the state has for statewide simplex use are 868.81250, 868.62500, 853.48750 and 854.31250.

868.81250, among other things, is used for the Colorado Youth Offender System centers. They usually are analog, and have a DPL. One is in GJT at 360 28th Road, if you happen to be in the area, I'd be interested in knowing the DPL used.

853.48750 and 854.31250 are used for simplex telemetry in the metro area.

As for the "Zone 3" channel, the "Zone" they were referring to is likely the group of channels in the radio that the channel is located at.

Almost all agencies will have these channels in conventional analog:
I-CALL 866.01250 156.7
I-TAC 1 866.51250 156.7
I-TAC 2 867.01250 156.7
I-TAC 3 867.51250 156.7
I-TAC 4 868.01250 156.7
S-TAC 5 868.78750 156.7

Yea, I assumed it was in one of the "Zone" banks of their radio, but it did sound like it was a simplex freq named "Teleco" the way they refered to it.

BTW - What did the state radio techs use for a radio system before the DTRS?

Okay, just making sure... With all this "Zone 3" business going on in NE, I thought you might be thinking of that. I imagine it is a simplex channel, probably one of the ones licensed statewide.

They used the same VHF and Microwave that all the others (CSP, CBI, CDOT, CDOW) used, for the most part.

It does seem to be getting confusing using the zone term for both the radio banks and the radio sites. I used to work for Orange County , CA and there we had 15 "zones" in the radios, but the simulcast radio sites were refered to as "cells". That was a Moto 3600 baud mixed-mode Smartnet system though.

Comon guys I post scanlists to be read and .p96 files to make life easier for people not wanting to wear out the keypad.

http://www.radiohacker.com/scanlist/MetroConventional121204.p96

This will get you all the standard conventional PS and Local Govt area freqs and tones you need for the pro96.
