Looking to convert my 1.5 to 2.5 and was wondering is there a kit to buy or do I need to get everything separate. Is it even possible to do it

To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:
Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.
For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

There's no such thing as an APX7000 model 2.5 and there's about half a dozen threads and topics about how the APX7000 can't be upgraded. Sell your model 1.5 and buy what you need

Hello, I have 2 questions, I have a APX7000XE and a 6000 (BN) Model 1.5, I would like to "upgrade" them to 3.5. I know I can do it on the 7000XE, it is on R14, but the 6000 is on R21. Is it possible to "upgrade" the 6000 since it's on R21? My second question is what parts would I need to...

Getting tired of all the stupidity.
To the very best of my knowledge there is no legitimate way to do it. So any way to do it will not be discussed here.
To further elaborate. There are components missing on the vocon to prevent the back display from operating. Even if you were able to modify the codeplug it would still be useless. Part of the reason that 7000 1.5 models are usually "cheaper".
