I am trying to convert my GPS settings from my 996xt over to my HP1, however when I did a test run, many groups that should have been locked out were not (and vice versa). I have a couple of questions.

Should the HP be set for DMS or DEG?

When copying from FreeSCAN, do I take the entries from the group screen, or should I hit edit and cut and paste from that screen?

What is confusing me is on the group screen, I see Latitude as 40.495635N, but if I go to the edit screen it shows 40.832319. I had cut and pasted from the edit screen for the bulk of my GPS Entries.

Hope this helps. I can explain the difference between DMS and DEG if interested.

Note: Although the coordinates are entered in Degree format, there is an internal conversion to DMS, which is the format the GPS-enabled scanners use. So although the two sets of figures might not match when you look on the edit screen, they still point to the correct location.
