Convert PSR800 to WS1080 without Whistler?

Hi everyone. Sorry for the noob question. I use my PSR800 for work and dont have the luxury to ship the scanner and wait for it to come back. Is there a way to upgrade the scanner myself? Missing out on DMR channels. Thanks.

No. There was once a unofficial hack, but Whistler disabled it with an update

Just a suggestion, you might contact Whistler, explain your situation, and see if you can work out some kind of expedited service arrangement. They seem to be fairly responsive to customer requests. The worst thing they can say is no.
