I was listening to OPF and they were busy.
But sadly I don't think it will be much longer before the big switchover.
There to many OPF RID's to count on the P25 system now.

Oh well........ it is what it is.....

There was a few on the CB on the way down. But I thought I heard in one of the live streams reference to a LADD channel which they're likely using.

Not sure how late the activity will be today but may give a listen. I occasionally hear something on 154.100 which happens to be a repeater in Prescott-Russell but seems never used other than to ID (oddly it's listed in Quebec at Ripon). Heard some trucker type mobile activity also.

They may be out of Ottawa by now but I believe most are still convening in Arnprior for the night before leaving tomorrow.

I saw a few trucks already headed west earlier on Hwy 17 at Renfrew.

154.100 is LADD 1
Yeah I programmed in the 4 channels.

Is there any more I should have in there?

Canada VHF LADD Channel List

I don't know how active it'll be on the way back but who knows.

I'll admit I missed the ball on being able to catch this on the scanner. Other then hearing OPP escorting and closing roads off as they came through my area a few nights ago.

I was watching some live video streams as they came into the area. That was interesting [emoji14] They definitely make use of radios.

And whatever, I know convoys might sound boring to listen to. But it's another venture of to still be able to make use of a scanner to listen to radio. Who cares what it is lol.

I put whatever I can into my radio you'd be surprised what ya can hear on odd ball frequencies out of nowhere sometimes.

So for anyone that may be tracking and following this crew back to Alberta. The pilot crew are using the LADD frequencies.

I heard them on LADD 2 this morning as they came by my town.

LADD 1 154.100
LADD 2 158.940
LADD 3 154.325
LADD 4 173.370

Yes, that's what I thought too. OPS. Maybe he hears OPF and thinks it means Ottawa Police Force? :)

Reminds me of when I first started listening and they were saying NFA, but I kept hearing NSA. lol

BTW, thanks for the LADD freqs.
