Seems that cook county is running off the old vhf system today on band 3 (154.995) and band 5 (155.6400)

Seems like a temp patch because we only here the mobile units not dispatch.

what system is cook county actually on? ive seen listing for them on STARCOMM and also other systems in the database. i would assume they use starcom?

Cook county is on a part of the starcom system . Its all encrypted so not even worth trying to listen.

They use the Starcom Zone 5 towers. Like was said, all their traffic is encrypted, don't even bother.

Reviving an old thread, At this time the only way to monitor the county is on Starcom's METRA tg2991 RID's 5826xxx & ITTF R4A tg30307. Other than the former VHF freqs, The only Talkgroup in the clear on the counties zone 501,2 towers is CCSPD CHI 2 tg25019 which has been quiet as of late. Lots of county units active with RID's 574xxxx on SC21 ITTF's talkgroups in the 303XX's.
