I'm gonna go out on a limb here and call that overkill...WAY overkill.
I have heard that there was a study that questions the validity of a bunch of lights on a LE car on the side of the highway...says they are more of a distraction than a hazard awareness indicator. Don't know how true it is though. In Mississippi I frequently saw State Police that had cars stopped on the Interstate that only left their front flashers on and left ALL rear flashers off, even had their tail lights off.

I think an arrow stick or yellow flashing lights is sufficient for a vehicle stationary on the side of the road. That's alotta lights though, pretty neat!

Ok, Couldn't you get hit doing something like that??

It's the moth and the lightbulb syndrome. A drunk will drive into the lights, so I'm told.
There is probably a study somewhere. I'm sure you all have heard of these before. A few years ago a Guthrie firefighter was hurt pretty bad when a drunk ran into a G.F.D. brush pumper sitting on the shoulder of I-35.

Cops showed a Drunk that hit a Harris County sheriff's deputy.. so maybe at is right..
