Cooley Dickinson & Franklin Hospitals

How do ambulances communicate with these hospitals? You can clearly hit the Med 4 repeater from Easthampton to Bernardston up I-91, but only hear the Springfield dispatch side to about Northampton since the tower is in Springfield they are using. Seeing that the Region Council is in Northampton, do they actually not use these towers and use the old Hear 155.340?? If they do, why are the Med 4 towers up there?

It's a combination, depending on which service is calling and where they are calling from. VHF is still used in that area because UHF does not have full coverage.
