Copiah County High Band

I noticed a listing for Copiah SO on high band in the data base. Anybody had any luck hearing them? I havn't heard a peep in 3 weeks.

The high band was utilized Sat Nite/Sunday when the police officer was shot and killed in Crystal Springs.

I have been monitoring the input and output for several weeks and I have not heard one peep, I do however still hear them a lot on the low band (45.14) maybe they are not using the new high band yet??????

I do know a lot of the deputies had Hi band mobiles in thier cars and used them to interop with Lincoln SO, and HPD on thier repeaters... and have heard at least one deputy talking to MHP on Statewide Hi arranging a meeting along with an MDOT unit.

That's strange, since an input freq is in the data base I assumed they were on their own repeater, maybe it is not up yet or something.

They just got their own for the SO.... but have operated on the EOC ones for YEARS.... and in the last couple of years also operated on the others.... I hated it that they did that.. but never used Hi for CCSO ops.... cant wait till they run it full time .. when i visit I can hear em good then Also on a side note.. Co-Lin just got thier new Hi band lic.. but have run on Lincoln's Hi band for at least a year.... Same for Southwest on Pikes
