Copy data from WIN96 to WIN97?

I have been using WIN96 for quite some time with my PRO2096 and think it's great. One of my 2096's just bit the dust, I can't afford a new one right now, and I can live with a PRO2055 in the truck.

I will buy WIN97 as soon as the PRO2055 comes in later this week. The question is can I import the WIN96 .P96 files to WIN97? Or better yet, does WIN97 also use the same file types?

to my knowledge you will have to copy & paste the info brcause of the the numbers of channels per bank, the 97 has 100 and the pro 96 only has 50 per bank, Also the 97 supports LTR, 700 MHZ band and longer alpha tags. I have both radios & that is what I did

You can also export a CSV file from Win96 and import it into Win97.
