Kallita Air Flight K4581 / CKS581 - Boeing 747-400F - Registration # N716CK just arrived at Kelly Field from Tokyo about 3:57am CST.

On 17 February, two Kalitta Air Boeing 747’s departed Tokyo Haneda Airport, Japan, flight tracking app Flightradar24 reported. Their mission is to evacuate passengers from The Diamond Princess, a cruise ship that has been stranded in Yokohama after a major on board outbreak of the Corona virus.

One Boeing 747 freighter will fly to Kelly Field, an air force base located in San Antonio, Texas, United States. The second Boeing 747 will operate to Travis Air Force Base in Solano County, California. Passengers on board will not directly meet their families and relatives but are obliged to go into quarantine over at Lackland AFB for further testing. The first group of now 90 people are set to be released on Feb 20th.

The current quarantine bases include Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Travis Air Force Base in Sacramento, California; Marine Corps Air Station Miramar in San Diego; and Eppley Airfield in Omaha, Nebraska.

For this occasion, the aircraft was equipped with special seats. In normal operations, these aircraft are a huge cargo bay for freighter config.

North Star Mall closes as a precaution after coronavirus patient's visit this weekend

Mall officials say the closure will allow for deep cleaning of the center.

The woman with the corona virus was at the mall for two hours on Saturday
between 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., she visited Dillard's, Talbot's and Swarovski.
She also ate at the food court.

North Star Mall which was the 1st air conditioned mall in Texas was opened September 23, 1960.
The mall management was notified on Monday morning by the San Antonio Metro Health District
which will be assisting in the cleaning process using CDC-recommended products and procedures.
Mall management anticipates the mall will be closed for approximately 24 hours and said that
"We will be transparent with the community during this time."
