Shoreline LCN

Here is what the Shoreline System seems to be doing as of today at 15:15 CST.

Unitrunker shows that LCN 9 and 10 are on and broadcasting in the proper order. The frequencies are 854.1125 and 854.3875 respectively.

The old LCN 9 and 10 are dead. I have not heard any traffic on them for about 2 weeks of on and off listening.

So, if you are missing any transmissions. Try plugging in the above frequencies into the LCN for 9 and 10 and you should be back up and getting all the traffic.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

David

The Pro-164 is a good radio for this area. It's the model currently sold at Radio Shack. It's very similar to the Pro-97, but the newer model, and also a slightly more expensive model.

A programming cable is definitely optional, but unless you're REALLY into hitting hundreds of buttons and learning all the ins and outs of your scanner, I would highly recommend getting a programming cable. It's a $30 purchase after the scanner, but you can often find a good bundle on Ebay where the programming cable is more of a throw-in. Brand new, the Pro-164 is $199, so keep that in mind when bidding.

Programming Pro-164

If you REALLY don't want to do it, I can program a Pro-164 for $20. But you might consider spending that money to download Win97 and do it yourself. That way, if the frequencies change, or if you want to take your scanner out of town, you can adjust the configuration on your own.

corpus/san pac

ok heres my question my scanner isnt a trunking scanner but i can still here everything pretty good i just heard enigine 12 out at a grass fire am i gonna have to buy a new one or whats the deal?

as i sit here i hear both san pat and corpus using each others systems, both have rebanded and are thus far working fine,(san pac does digital encrypted at times when they need security but for most part are in the clear).right now there is a crash at I 37& 77 and both agencys are at the scene, sounds as if the sites are linked,
for info to those seeking new scanners, here is some thing that may help, there is a site Overstock.com: Online Shopping - Bedding, Furniture, Electronics, Jewelry, Clothing & more if you bring it up' enter police scanners and it will show you there stock,we bought r/s digital hand helds for $229.00 and less then three bucks for shipping,a very good buy, they were in like new shape and every thing was in the box,ck it out,

Have the Shoreline and Violet towers been re-banded yet? I am still receiving them on the old frequencies.

THELASTREBEL,

Read back through this thread for the last few weeks. Short answer. Yes the towers have re-banded. They added one frequency here and there. See the DB for the most current info.

You can read through these last 3 pages if you'd like the story carlosryan (I recommend it). In short, they rebanded their frequencies to comply with changes in the law over the past few years (occurring nationwide). Make sure that you're scanner is programmed with the frequencies from this database page. The frequencies on your site might have dropped 15MHz, or been rearranged.

Pro-97

Hey CarlosRyan, I have a Pro-97 also and a pretty all-inclusive configuration of frequencies for it. I've programmed a few other people's Pro-97/164 units lately for a small fee, and if you'd like, I can do it for you also. Just send me an email at bartbedsole@hotmail.com

News Talkgroups

Hey guys. Gus was scanning in open mode today and noticed a few new talkgroups that are unlisted on the city/county system. So far we've found a San Pat County talkgroup (DEC 1937) and an EMS agency (DEC 625). We also haven't heard Animal Control for a while (Oh no!!) so maybe they're on a new talkgroup also.

We recommend scanning in open mode to see what else is new. But make sure to lock out those RTA talkgroups first!! LOL

I am still confused. From what I have read, re-banding will relocate the Public Safety channels to the new band 851-854 MHz. The Shoreline and the Violet towers are still using the old frequencies in the old band (above the new band 851-854 MHz.). A few new frequencies in the old band have been added to both Shoreline and Violet . Flour Bluff is using all new frequencies in the new band 851-854 MHz. So Flour Bluff has been re-banded but Shoreline and Violet have not, right?

There obviously has been some shifting around on some talkgroups bbedsole and I can't seem to find Animal Control anymore they were on 09-005. We are picking up talkgroup 14-141 Medic talkgoup UID. San Pat SO primary on 15-021 , 02-035 which I think is City Parking Enforcement/broken parking meter Dept. lol All of this on the Shoreline tower. Does anybody else have anything else new?

Gus

This is information I received in a PM today:

"I have also found a couple of talkgroups working in ProVoice so I would assume that none of their digital will be going back to AEGIS. Group 1940, SO admin, is in PV and group 1955 is also but I have not been able to hear it enough to tell who it is yet. The harbor groups from the port PD over on the Corpus system are now being broadcast over the Ingleside site since they took over NS Ingleside"

I will keep an eye out on this info to confirm it.
