The memory card in my BCD536HP is corrupt. I can read from it but can no longer write to it. I am also unable to format it to restore the original files.

I know it is the memory card because I programmed a new one and it works OK in the radio.

Does anyone know if this is covered under the Uniden warranty?
If so must I send the entire radio in for service?

good

At least you got it working, best rule of thumb is replace the card anyway with a good quality one, I use a Sandisk 32GB with no issues for whatever thats worth.

If you are using a card reader with the adapter piece (SD card to Micro SD card) the adapter has a little slider on the left side.

I found out about this the hard way.

It's there to prevent inadvertent writing to the SD card.

My original micro-sd card became corrupted on the 1st day of use. I was able to restore it to use by using Windows 7 to format the card, FAT format, and it has worked well ever since. I used a built in card reader/writer and a micro-sd card adapter card.
