A few observations now that things seem to have settled down for Benton County's fire radio system. I've determined from listening that 154.340 has two repeater sites (Marys Peak and Vineyard) and that Corvallis Fire units typically are dispatched on Vineyard and other agencies are dispatched on Marys Peak, I notice that CFD units working a local call are told to use "Ops" as the working channel rather than remaining on 154.340 through the Vineyard repeater. If a CFD medic unit is being dispatched with another agency, everyone typically works through the Marys Peak repeater. And, it appears that Monroe Fire, after being tapped out by Benton County 911, will handle their own units' radio traffic but that base station does not use the Marys Peak repeater while their mobiles and portables do use that repeater.
Anyone know what they are using for "Ops"? Is this the 158.820 freq or whatever it was they were using while the repeaters were being set up?
