Could someone Help me with the uniden 296d upgrades....Balti

I have the uniden 296d scanner....I would enjoy if someone could help me out with the 4 or so upgrades that there are for this scanner...I am willing to pay someone or if they would be so kind.....I live in Baltimore city... Ohh , and i will be at the timonium hamfest this upcomming week if your interested in talking there or something...I have a very old computer, and I misplaced my usb cord (that cord that hooks into the computer)...I heard that the downloads do help alot with this radio... And again I would really love if someone could help me out on this....Thanx again r/r friends.....

Well, could someone tell me if they have used the upgraded downloads on their 796 or 296....And how does it makes a differece....

Since there are no scanner shops in our area, there are 2 possibilities; one is to post a message in the Uniden forum for UPMan for specific instructions on how to apply the upgrade; the other is to join the various BC296 forums on Yahoo groups and post 'how do I do this' messages.

Don't the upgrades also include instructions as to how to apply them? I would think they would; and if not, I'd make the comment to UPMan to that effect....
