That is proof that LSM is not a systemic issue in either series. Not saying others don't have LSM issues - only that it does not affect all LSM systems.

As for me saying others don't have issues, I never said that. Please don't put words in my mouth.

The very essence of LSM would cause an issue at specific points/spots in all systems (using LSM) while utilizing the current crop of scanners to monitor them. Just be glad that you don't live or work in one of those specifc spots.

It's pretty clear that the strategy employed here by Uniden spokesmen (both official and unofficial) is one of denial, FUD, and pedantic nitpicking- instead of a frank and forthright acknowledgement of the problem.

Perhaps a little honest competition would improve the situation...

Monitoring the Albany Co system great up here in Saratoga County. I became frustrated with the multicast problems with the scanners that are currently on the market. Bought myself a Unication G4 P25 trunking scanning "pager" This thing is easy to program with the free software and included cable. I had it clipped to the visor of the Jeep and was able to monitor Saratoga County on a drive up to Granville, down to Hoosick Falls and around Sacandaga Lake I work in downtown Albany and I can receive Saratoga County sitting at my desk. They have figured out the problem with multicast. I dare say it receives as well as the Motorola XTS5000 800 P25 portable I have. Does anybody else have one ?
(emphasis added)

In case you missed that
They have figured out the problem with multicast.

Voyager would have you believe that there is no widespread problem (notwithstanding the OP of this current thread; notwithstanding the Albany County posting, above; notwithstanding many, many others).

It will be interesting to see now whether Uniden chooses to be competitive...

p.s. Disclosure: I have no relationship or affiliation with either of the vendors mentioned; I've never had a P25 scanner from them (only GRE)

Please stop putting words in my mouth.

I never made any comments about how widespread the issue is. I only stated that it is not an issue on all systems, so it is not a systemic LSM issue since it works fine on many LSM systems.

There do seem to be hotbeds of places where the issue affects more systems. I have said that in the past, too.

Stating that it affects all systems is the FUD.
