Could use a little info

I'm new at this digital scanning. I just bought a Pro 96 and I would like someone to explain indetail how to enter talkgroups. Also what how do I know which one I already have entered. I must be dumb because I can't make heads or tails from the manual. I want to thank you in advance if you would be so kind. :?: :?:

Your best bet is to get the data cable from RS and D/L WIN96 http://starrsoft.com/software/win96/default.asp. Its much easier and your fingers will thank you!

You would be able to use the WIN96 software and plug the scanner into your computer and program it from the computer. Its much easier and you will have a backup of your programming shall you ever need to reset the scanner for any reason.

I'm not trying to be a smart a** but try reading the manual.

When I got my first trunking scanner many years ago, programming and understanding this new concept was challenging. The manufacturer provided a manual as they do today that explains the procedure. Read the manual, push the buttons, you might learn something.

Seriously If you read the manual and follow the directions STEP-by-STEP after about 5 TG's you will be "WIZ-BANGING" them in there.

There are several websites and I think if you search the posts here I think this question has been brought up and answered several times. Its a little tough teaching you by POSTS, its not that we don't want to, I think its more that we want YOU TO!
