the 911 communications center is preparing for another big change, a move from leased space on Pribble Road to the main floor of the county law enforcement center in downtown Lawrenceburg.
The move is being made in conjunction with a countywide upgrading to an 800 MHz radio system for emergency services.
The entire state is moving toward changing over to a 800 MHz radio system through Project Hoosier Safe-T. The goal of the statewide system, scheduled for completion in 2006, is to allow seamless and reliable communications among local, state and federal public safety agencies.
