Greetings Everyone

Now that Lindsay has implemented the upgrades within the database here, we now have the functionality to import conventional frequencies to programming software such as Don Starrs. This creates a new challenge in that I will be tackling with help of others and that is the categorization of services within the county. The more categorized a county is, the more power you will be able to take out of the features of doing imports to your scanners. I will be working through the counties and trying to logically group frequencies, but if you have suggestions or ideas, please let me know so that I can try to implement them.

I am asking that you limit your comments to the categorization of the counties in this post. If you have questions about the Upgrades, software, etc, please post them in the appropriate forums!

Thanks for everyone's support!

As the group information is updated for a county or agency, is it possible to format all conventional data into the 8-column format ?

Frequency Input License Type Tone CH Description Mode

I know that, many times, information for one or more catagories might not be available. A consistent format, though, would make the transfer of information to a scanner program - via software, excel, or by cut-and-paste - alot easier.

A consistent format for the talkgroup data would also be useful.

One other thought, spurred (pardon the pun) by cowboy's recent request for Wake Co info. I think it would be helpful, as the Viper system expands, to make it clear in the county listing when a local agency has talkgroups on the state system.

Although the Viper system has a link on the county webpage, it might not be clear to a out-of-state hobbyist that he / she needs to check Viper for "local agency" talkgroups.

Thanks,

Jeff

TRS Updates

Good Afternoon Y'all

You may have noticed several updates to TRS systems in NC. What I am currently doing is associating counties and locations to these TRS Sites so that they may be better searchable within the database. If I haven't hit it yet, please submit changes to it so I do not have to do as much research!

Thanks again for your help on this!

How about space for an input tone if it's different than the output? That would allow for multi-site systems. A spot for "Display" as some of the trunked systems on the DB would be nice as well.
