Hi guys,
Can anyone comment on the memory scan speed of this unit? Icom radios have been relatively slow for memory scanning in the past. Was curious if this was the case for this radio. Also - can anyone comment on the HF performance of this radio? With or without the DSP option board?

Thanks much.

Seems to scan reasonbly fast but not near the speed of a Uniden.

HF performance seems pretty good from a days usage, certainly better than a Yaesu VR5000.

Icom's software has no logging capabilities that I can find. I expect to be able to program memory and than log the activity. Third party software comming?

Hello,The ICOM-R2500 Performs very good on HF and that is a comparision to a YAESU-VR5000 and an ICOM-R9000 and if you do not have a good Antenna on HF all you will hear
is static noise and that is when you turn he RADIO off.
