That was me that updated the Database with the new AFC frequencies. But that was why I posted
them in this thread first so everyone could see if I had any wrong.( My wife tells me I am always
wrong HA HA) Cajones do have the DCS numbers to the input and output freq. that you are useing
to hear Etowah Co. & St. Clair Co. That would help us all to compare notes better. Thanks for the info.

I have never been able to hear anything clear from that part of the state.

County Vol Fire Channels via Ala Forrestry

Guys... Just found the thread... Wondering if the UHF frequencies licensed under Alabama Forrestry which are used by County Fire Departments will have any changes.

I know Macon Co VFD uses the UHF frequencies that are licensed under Alabama Forrestry and I have
not saw any change for them so far. I also know that Lee, Russell, Macon and Barbour Cos. have stoped
useing the old AFC freqs. and are only useing the new narrowband freqs.

Lee Co. AFC is useing : output- 159.2625 with DCS- 503 and Input- 151.4225 with a DCS- 065.
They are useing the input freq. to talk moblie-to-moblie within the county unit and to other countys.
I posted a long list in the RR database for AFC. I just notice that I reported the DCS's for the Input
freqs. ( they are different for each county ) but they did not post them.

I haven't seen anyone post any info on the counties in the Northwest part of the state, so here goes:
It appears Forestry in all of the Northwestern counties (Colbert, Franklin, Lauderdale, Lawrence, Marion and Winston) are using 159.3075, 411 DCS on the repeater output. They each also seem to have their own repeater.

Anybody know what the input frequency(s) might be?

A quick look in the database shows the following for Alabama Forestry in Lawrence Co:

Alabama Forestry Commission WAC370 151.32500 2004-07-22 A 100 0 MO PW MOULTON
Alabama Forestry Commission WAC370 151.32500 2004-07-22 A 50 0 MO PW MOULTON
Alabama Forestry Commission WAC370 151.37750 2004-07-22 A 100 0 MO PW MOULTON
Alabama Forestry Commission WAC370 159.30750 2004-07-22 A 1 0 FB2 PW MOULTON
Alabama Forestry Commission WAC370 159.31500 2004-07-22 A 1 0 FB2 PW MOULTON

It is either going to be 151.325 or 151.3775. I never monitor those so I have no idea which one it is.

Here is am update for Etowah & St. Clair Co. freq.' s
Etowah Co. & St. Clair Co. was using 159.3975 Output - PL 662 with 151.2275 Input - PL , N/A
For some reason they are now using these freq.'s below

151.2275 - Input , PL N / A
R / R has Etowah Co. Listed as 159.2625 Output , I do not think that is the correct freq. , at least not according to the FCC database

Forestry Freqs Morgan Co

In Lauderdale Co I know that 453.100 is used by someone but can't remember who.

In Morgan Co the following frequencies are licensed by Forestry but are used by the VFDs:

453.050 458.050 151.4 Burningtree (West)
453.050 458.050 179.9 Brindlee Mtn (East)
453.050 458.050 167.9 Gum Springs (South)
453.050 458.050 136.5 Green Mtn (North)

I have been told that they are planning to put a new repeater up at Battleground on the same freqs also but have not seen anything in the FCC DB about it.

Forestry also has the following VHF freqs licensed in Morgan Co:

151.325
151.3775
159.315
159.3075

If I had to guess, I would say that 151.325 and 159.315 are paired and 151.3775 and 159.3075 are paired.

Afc

Forestry also has the following VHF freqs licensed in Morgan Co:

151.3250 - 159.3150
151.3775 - 159.3075

151.3250 and 159.3150 - This should be the old AFC Freq. pair - not used anymore
151.3775 and 159.3075 - This should be the new AFC Freq. pair

I heard some traffic on the 159.3075 freq. output but was unable to get the output PL tone
I also heard traffic on 159.4275 Output PL 047 - 151.1675 Input PL N / A
For Dekalb Co. , Jackson Co. , & Madison Co.
I also heard traffic on the same freq. pair as a Marshall Co. AFC repeater , but
Marshall Co. is currently only licensed on the old freq. pair

A lot of Vol. FD'S use AFC freq.'s in Alabama on UHF for their primary communications
and are dispatched by their local Co. Central dispatch office or E-911
A lot of these Vol. FD's do not have their own repeater or communication system so the AFC allows them to use
the freq's licensed to AFC for primary communications

Please post any updates on the following Counties below

Hale Co.: CallSign: WQX823
159.4050 / 151.9850
Still shows licensed on old freq. - does any one have any info for this Co.

Lauderdale Co.: Florence, AL. - does any one have any info for this Co.
Callsign: WNJV627
Found AFC freq.'s listed as

153.89000
154.07000
154.29500
154.35500
May Be Co. or City Fire Dept. - please post any info
Not Listed In 151.000 - 159.000 Mhz. Range

In Lauderdale Co 453.1000 Output - 458.1000 Input - is an AFC freq. on UHF & is probably used by Co. Vol. FD's
Callsign KNAU445 AFC

Thanks for the update
