I've loaded the posted frequencies into the 396XT as of yesterday morning.
As of yet, I'm not even hearing a control frequency here.

I don't think the actual antenna's have gone up yet. Our club Ham repeater is due to go up on the new tower at the same time and the work crew the county hired is putting up our antenna also. I've heard sometime this month. We'll see

Anyone hearing a control channel as of yet.
Been out of town the last week.
Hadn't heard a thing from the posted frequencies before we left last Saturday.

I have them punched in and have not heard any activity yet. I think the tower is up. You can see it on Temple Ave. The old state patrol post land.

and so the conversion begins...
Hearing radio techs using TGID 11.
Wandering around the county with hand-helds.
Currently in Grantville.
Using IDTracker to log and record.
Will keep updating as there is more activity.

Interim ProScan feed provided at:

99.112.0.53 Port 5000

Anyone planning to provide a RR feed once they go live? I have a Thin Client PC ready to go but I don't have a dedicated scanner.

Enjoy!

Been logging and recording the last two days and absolutely no traffic.
Will keep monitoring.
Last week was all techs wandering the County doing radio techs with walkies on TGID 11.

I wonder how long their testing will last before they switch over? I wish I had a digital scanner here, but my ham hobby is taking precedence right now.

In the last 48 hours have had 9 hits on Heard County SO Dispatch and 452 hits on Carroll County SO Disp 1.
Looks like radios are starting to affiliate with the towers.
Still no unknowns from Coweta and I haven't heard radio techs all week.

Coweta County Site - WARRS - Control Channel

Traveling down I-85 last Saturday, I picked up the WARRS (Coweta site) control channel on 771.08125. I was able to lock on to it from Union City to LaGrange, using my BC396XT/RH96 and a 3db gain mobile 700/800 MHz antenna on the roof of my car. Hopefully, ya'll can input that CC and begin to detect talkgroups in Coweta County and Newnan.

Over the last 2 weeks there has been sporadic testing on different TGID's.
I have about 15 TGID's listed, but since it is all testing there has been no opportunity to begin to identify them as of yet.
The testing has been very sporadic as well.
Will have two days in a row of testing and then nothing for a couple.
The testing has pretty much involved folks driving around the county and testing signal strength.
Will keep everyone updated as soon as there is something to update;-)

Comprehensive update on the link below.
Looks like Public Safety use is still a couple of weeks away but Roads, Water, and Prison will be online this week.
I have a bunch of TGID's but there hasn't been enough usage yet to begin to ID.

Coweta begins switch to new digital radio system - The Times-Herald

Cool, thanks for the link.

Hmm, this last paragraph cracked me up. Just upgrade to 700mhz? That's all it would take? No mention of digital or trunking. Granted, I don't think there are any analog 700mhz scanners, but its going to be quite the shock for someone used to simple old VHF scanner and a fancy new digital trunking scanner.

Cowetans who like to monitor public safety radios on their scanners may have to do some upgrades once the transition takes place. The 700 MHz can be picked up on scanners, but some people may have to buy a different type of scanner.

Some TG's that have gone live

Been monitoring radio traffic and here's what I think I know..........
TG's
15501 - Jail, routine traffic
15502 - (radio traffic thus far seems to have Sheriff Admin type of traffic mixed with Jail and Public Works)
15503 - Jail, Supv?
15504 - Animal Control
15601 - Water Dept Meter Reader
15611 - Public Works/Road Dept
15612 - Public Works/Road Dept "Supervisor"

Probably don't need to publish this to the DB just yet but figured I'd get the ball rolling.

I am having a tough time getting a strong enough signal to get good digital reception.
Had a bunch of hits with the same TG's (almost 400 yesterday), but very tought to decipher and ID.
Trying a different antenna today and will check back when I get home today.

I have not logged any activity on this TRS since the middle of last week.
Anyone able to confirm whether there is any current activity or if possibly there has been a system change?

I was in LaGrange this past weekend. I received the CC on 771.08125 there, and noted talkgroups 15501 and 15502 active Saturday and Sunday. I was also able to receive the Heard County site from LaGrange and heard talkgroups for Heard, Carroll and Haralson Counties. I don't believe I saw any talkgroups from those three counties active on any 700MHz frequencies.

I noted that Site #4 of the Muscogee/Troup Co system was active, located near Hogansville and it carried LaGrange PD and FD traffic as well as county traffic and Hogansville PD. Heard occasional Harris County traffic on the LaGrange site. We traveled to Warms Springs and Pine Mountain on Saturday and I noted the Columbus site was active with a few Columbus talkgroups. The 3a2d system control channel was still active but I didn't hear any radio traffic for the short time I was able to monitor it.

I hope someone will post updated talkgroups lists for Columbus, Muscogee and Coweta/Newnan soon.

I have only been monitoring the Coweta site since this is where I live.
There was a lot of testing traffic and then Water, Roads, and County prison traffic up until a week ago.
Since then, it has been silent on the Coweta site.
