Since there does not seem to be much from my area here, so I thought I'd post a listing created by me over a couple of decades. Most of these frequencies are still valid, however a couple of the businesses may be out of date or the frequencies no longer used.

The Railroads may need updating as they were never really my thing and I think Columbia & Cowlitz that belonged to Weyerhaeuser may have been sold off.

Good list Omega but you neglected some rather important information such as: type (analog/digital), modulation, PL/CTCSS tones and/or NAC codes. Also in any frequency list I highly recommend a "last heard" date column.

Lastly some notes would be helpful. For example, on the VHF Low frequencies, what did you hear or what was heard on that frequency.

Well, I can tell you now, all those frequencies are analog. Any old scanner can pick them up. The list was made for me, by me so in receive only mode I never thought to add PL, CTCSS or NAC. I just shared what I had because I couldn't find much here for my area. That said, I'm more than willing to tweak it if anyone wants to furnish more information. Heck, I'll even make a PDF if anyone wants one.

Columbia Co. & Wahkiakum Co. Sheriffs haven't been on UHF for years, there is no Reynolds Metals, International Paper, Cowlitz Communications or Columbia & Cowlitz Railroad anymore, the Mt. Brynion ham repeater has been gone for years, the UHF Columbia Hts. repeater was never there, some of the 50 mhz frequencies listed are SSB, most of WSP is P25, the State of WA DOT low band frequencies have mostly been scrapped for 700 mhz trunking, Kelso PD is wrong, and the 10-code is hardly used anymore because of Homeland Security's recommendation for "plain talk". The list looks to be at least 20 years old.

Well Bob, that would be just about right. I kind of grew tired of the radio hobby around 2002-2003. I let my amateur radio expire in 2005 and have not done anything in radio up to about 6 months ago when bought a cheap little SW radio. Last week, I pulled the scanner out of the closet for the first time in 10 years, saw little to nothing posted here, so I tried to contribute something.

Since I moved out of Longview in 96, I've only listened to a few local frequencies here in Lewis county, and those still work on my ancient Bearcat 800XLT.

Since you obviously have more current information than I, please feel free to update that list for all of us! :)

Omega-TI,
I have had to deal with the same issues every time I have tried to contribute anything to this site. It appears that no submission is ever good enough, even though nothing is there to begin with. There are a few frequencies I have that are not on your list, and a few listed I do not have. Thank you for your effort.
What I have is mostly east county. DNR, PUD, TPU, WDFW, and local town ops.

I'm not taking it personally. It's interesting though that a 16 year member, who has way more information than I, used one of only 10 messages posted in all that time to critique instead of sharing their obviously abundant knowledge. It is what it is though.

Thanks for the encouragement, and yes, I'd love to see what you have!

I was just there. If we're talking public safety, there is not a lot to listen to. Yeah it can all be listened to on just about any radio/scanner.

HA! Yes, one of the bennies of living in the toolies! About 20 years ago I remember looking through the FCC listings and plugging in all of the frequencies attributed to the city of Winlock and found one used by the police for car to car and other stuff they didn't really want to broadcast. Now days you usually hear something like, "Give me a call on the cellphone." I'm going to have go through those list again and see what turns up.

No point in posting frequencies in this area that are already present and current in the RR database.
