The 014th district police on zone 3 assisted U.S. Marshals serving a warrant on a known gang member this morning. The Marshals attempted to serve an arrest warrant when the subject named in the warrant pulled a gun and opened fire, fled on foot and dropped the gun during the foot pursuit, then taking up shelter from the Marshals in a neighboring home. This caused a SWAT response and K-9 units to be called to the scene. Moments before SWAT arrival, the subject was taken into custody by CPD and The Marshal's Service.
