Yeah, that I agree with. Just not sure the FCC will follow through unless the city asks for it. Would be nice though. There are always those that want proof that the FCC will actually enforce rules before they will decide to follow them.

Indeed.
Noting the demographics involved here in both the offender and it being Chicago/Cook County, his "interference" didn't result in a death/injury, and the politics involved, I would suspect court supervision is in his future and not a peep from the FCC. He never was able to access the repeater, and I suspect the interference heard was coming through the simplex input side since the interference could only be heard around Roosevelt & State. Looking at his mug shot, he's not the brightest bulb in the closet would be safe to say.

That's how I read it, says "While cops in the field could hear the transmissions, their dispatchers could not." Transmitting on the output, interesting. Probably since the free side only shows the output and PL. I remember getting crapped on during 2020 riots for pointing that out when there was ability for free to see the input. anti-police activists were posting instructions on twitter, facebook, youtube etc how to buy a baofeng and where to go to program it to disrupt police in major protest/riot cities. It wasn't just streaming that did it, (back then the input) , it was cases like this that pushed it over the edge. Unfortunately 2 yrs too late until that stuff was hidden.
