Does anybody know what CPD Car 80 is for? I hear them on Zone 8 last week in a pursuit, and they were told to terminate by 499 i believe.

May have been a member of the Medical Unit, but if it's proceeded by a "Car" designation, it's usually a member of the Command Staff. They usually out rank the Watch Commander (499), so I question if you heard this correctly. Car 80 would suprise me to initiate a vehicle pursuit, is now Internal Affairs Division Chief (Post July 1st).

I'm 100% sure that it was CPD Car 80 because they came on Zone 8 as "CPD Car 80". I kept listening becuase I had never heard of a Car 80 before. They requested more units for the pursuit, and after a temporary loss, they were told to terminate. Helicopter 2 then came on Zone 8 stating they were in the area where the car was last seen and they were checking the area, but they did not find car.
Looking at the old order, I believe that was the Medical Section director. His rank is below Watch Commander, so yes , that would make sense. Car 80 is now the IAD Chief.

All right, thanks. I was just wondering because like I said before I had never heard of a CPD Car 80, but now I know.
