What frequency range does CPDLC operate and what are the chances we will ever be able to decode it?

As CPDLC is an off-shoot of the ACARS functions it typically uses either SATCOM frequencies, or some aircraft make use of HF Datalink. As I only have scanned Airband VHF, the thought of having the necessary equipment to intercept any of that is mind-boggling. But I know some of the hardcore folks do

CPDLC and ADS-C sure beats the heck out of HF SELCAL checks, HF position
reports, etc.

You can decode HF DataLink comms using this software and an HF receiver.
