If you've got 2-meter / 6-meter gear, you should consider getting on for this one. Although FM contacts are allowed, no repeater contacts are allowed and no simplex contacts on national simplex frequencies are allowed. You aren't going to find all the action on FM anyway. This is mainly an SSB/CW contest.

Thanks for the heads up on this one. Here in the Midwest, it doesn't generate the activity that the ARRL VHF contests do, but activity is usually up, especially if 6 meters opens.

I missed the ARRL VHF contest last month unfortunately. You guys farther out in the midwest always have a better time on 6m. Where I might see any opening to the south or west, you guys usually have openings to multiple areas. Maybe not so much in your locale, but the Colorado area usually has the best time I think.

I'll be on, for what it's worth. Just using a Moxon up about 25 feet.

Problem with VHF contests is that unless you've got an amazing VHF setup you are totally dependent upon 6m opening up to have any fun at all.
