CR/IC Radios

I noticed CR switched to ICall/ITac, anyone having any problems monitoring Iowa City / Coralville? It could just be my radio, but I hear lots of radio traffic then it goes dead for long periods of time. Sometimes it almost seems like they are carrying on their conversation on a different tower or something. I haven't had a chance to get down and check on it, just have to listen remotely to the feeds until the roads get better.

iowa city and coralville are working fine. cedar rapids went into failsoft mode when they cut the power to the pd which mean it went to the south repeater only. last I heard the radios are back up in cr.

I'm not familiar with this failsoft mode. What frequency/Talk group does Cedar Rapids use when in this mode?

Failsoft means are frequencies are used as a normal repeater, units are assigned to a channel during failsoft to keep everyone together. Fire with fire, Police with Police and so on. Oh and you get an annoying beep every so often.
