I was in CR last night and was comparing my 436HP vs my 396T. The 436HP had no issues in CR, Hiawatha and Marion. The 396T had a lot of garble and missed a lot of transmissions - I assume it has to do with the linear simulcast issues most scanners have. So to confirm the 436HP works perfect 
I was using a mag mount antenna on my roof of the car. I can pick up CR system from mile marker 63 on 380 just outside Evansdale - which is next to Waterloo. Hope this helps anybody that is looking for a new radio.
