Weird summer thunderstorm came through a bit ago leaving heavy damage from Fresno to Porterville. Visalia City Fire toned out all available off duty personnel. Cal Fire Porterville was doing patrols and had several 50 acre fires. I heard Cal Fire placing dozers somewhere on Yokohl Valley Road east of Porterville, saying they were having access issues. 60+ MPH winds, hail, etc. We dont get this kind of weather here. Kinda neat if you ask me.

It seems a little early for fronts like this to come through. It reminds me more of August than May. We have had some Battalions on lighting plan in the afternoon.

Yeah these storms started some wildfires, East and South of Porterville. This morning on the way home, I heard them talking about the South Complex which sounded like the biggest fire right now. According to Air Attack 13, no fire personnel had made their way up to the fire yet, they were barely going to hit it with air support today. It also sounded like minimal spread but heavy fuels. There were other aircraft talking about other fires, sounded like several "complex" type fires.

Command 2 was being used, but other then that, I didnt make a list.
