Hey All.

Anyone with some insight to the Creative Communications buy out, and Air Comm taking over? I don't see their system(s) listed in the DB since the new site came out.

Thanks

I was caught in the middle of this for a project taking place in Mesa. Seems like Creative Communications was not authorized by big /\/\ to sell both Astro and Trbo hardware in the same market, which is a big thing within the industry. There may be more to it than that, but that is what I managed to glean from the technicians that joined Air Comm. Air Comm now has many of the more knowledgeable technicians from Creative Communications on their team, so at least my project came out alright. Across the country, it appears there may be a few re-sellers being used as examples by the big /\/\, sort of like they used to be back in the late 1980's.

This is from a former Creative employee sharing details to me. If it is not 100% accurate, then it should be considered poor recollection on my part and not some sort of gospel or attack.

This is all condensed from public info and is contained in many press releases (in case anyone's employer is watching)..........DFW Communications turned into Crosspoint Communications which turned into Creative Communications. Motorola purchased Creative and then kept the Public Safety side (and the as the 900MHz Cap Max system is), MCA purchased the Commercial side of Creative from Moto, Bearcom purchased Rental side of Creative from Moto, and Air Wave purchased the upfitting side of Creative from Moto.

To my contact's knowledge, Air Comm did not take anything over other than hiring a bunch of orphaned Creative employees and picking up a bunch of orphaned Creative customers. There has been a lot of confusion regarding this as there was a lot of steps from where it started to where it is now. TT
