I was talking to a Creek County Deputy today and he said that they will be dispatching calls on the new 800 system when then move into the new jail sometime this month.

Doesn't Creek County dispatch for some smaller towns in the area or at least run records checks for them. What are these smaller towns going to do???

Damn..1 more agency I can't talk to on my VHF. This is getting frustrating.

I know Creek co dispatches for Kiefer, I have heard Kellyville and one other on their vhf. Last time I talked to them they were going to keep their
vhf system up for these smaller agencies,

Law-man is right, they will probably keep their VHF up and link to the new 800. It will probably be like how Catoosa FD and Oak Grove FD are linked up to their VHF and they can talk on either radios or which ever is available.

Yes there are two known active IDs on the state 800

Creek SO Channel A (27408)

Creek SO Channel B (27440)

There is also a new conventional frequency that will probably be used for th jail and it is...

(WQCN531) (868.825)

I noticed I can still hit the VHF repeater from my house on the walkie. That's pretty good. I don't know if it's monitored but the VHF is still up.

Their vhf was uo last thurs. I arrested one on their warrabts and met a deputy over at 61st and 33rd. I got delayed and switched over to their 800
freq and tried calling them...my eadio said not authorized. Oh great a trip to the radio shop now. Went to low band and worked like a charm.

Naw, when the guys in Tulsa say "lowband", they actually mean highband. The VHF-High 150 MHz band is what they're referring to. Local terminology. They call it lowband because it's lower than 800 MHz.

Damn press, cant keep anything from them :p . In the Tulsa are since no one has low band raidos 45 to 54 mhz they are the low bands. I beleive it started with ohp who when on vhf used to say go to the low band meaning just that their low band radios instead of their vhf high radios.
I beleive it is a hang over from that. So in the Tulsa area low is actually
vhf high as no agency I know of of is still on vhf low.
