I have been trying to listen to CRESA on my Whistler 1088 with nothing heard. I saw in SDS100 For Clark County Post that the Law Enforcement talkgroups are encrypted. :(
On to my question are all the talkgroups on CRESA encrypted?

Note the DE below? ( E = full time encryption)

Clark County Law Enforcement Talkgroups

The dispatch channels have primary assignment agencies but are shared among all law agencies except WSP. At night the outlying agencies switch to Control 2.

In listening to the system, it certainly seems that way.

While driving through Vancouver I only hear fire, the buses and the jail. I do see the law enforcement talk groups pop up, but they are indeed encrypted...

I'll update the database to reflect the above. Thank you.

Thank you, Chris. I drove through Vancouver on Monday and Tuesday and my scanner was silent.

Thank you for pointing this out. I didn't even notice it when I looked over the page.

EDIT: I just realized my error. I forgot CRESA went digital. Disregard my question below other than if the frequencies are current. I know I need a new scanner.

It's been a while since I've used my Pro 93 to monitor CRESA. I know LE is encrypted but I get no transmissions whatsoever on the trunked system. I do get FireTap on the VHF simulcast. Is the 800 trunked frequency database up to date? Do I need to get a scanner that is rebanded compatible? Thanks.

Battleflag, it has been a while apparently. The CRESA radio system is all APCO P-25 digital now so you won't hear a thing with your PRO-93 scanner. It's not a rebranding problem.

Yup. Trying to decide if I want to spend the money or continue to use the Pulse Point app on my phone. I miss being able to hold on a Talkgroup and the Pulse Point app is a few minutes delayed from what I can tell. I'm thinking about the BCD436HP but that price tag is giving me pause.
